Book Fair: Paula Svitek, Nicole Nichter
Book Fair Committee takes care of two book fairs during the school year. The Fall Book Fair is in early November and the Spring Fair is in April. This Committee needs help with planning the events, working the fairs, and publicity.
Box Tops for Education: Lanette Gallagher,Tara Connett
This Committee is in charge of coming up with creative ideas for the school to collect Box Tops. Incentives, contests, and promotions are held throughout the school year. Please sign up at the Boxtop Website by clicking on this link.
Burger King Booklets: Maria Krach, Angie Brown
This Committee asks that each family sell at least 10 Burger King coupon booklets consisting of coupons for Burger King, Chilis, and the Wizards. This event is held during Catholic Schools Week in January.
Carnival: Lori Garretson, Katie Burns
The Carnival Committee plans and runs the annual School Carnival, which will be held at the end of Catholic Schools Week in late January or early February. This Committee needs many volunteers to help with soliciting sponsors, volunteering at the event, set-up, and clean-up.
Legacy Auction: Norine Martin, Andrea Terrell
The Legacy Auction is the kick off event of Catholic Schools Week. It will be held in late January. This Committee needs help with soliciting sponsors, planning the event, and procuring auction items.
Fine Arts: Laura Reiss, Janet Abbott, Jacci Kaufman
This Committee serves many purposes. They work to find art programs for all grade levels including the spring musical, art shows, etc. Volunteer opportunities include helping with: Campbell Soup labels, Lutheran art show, FW Philharmonic performances, FAME, Christmas programs, and the Spring Musical.
Flower Show: Angie Wood, Theresa Mozzone
This Committee plans a Fall Flower show. They also distribute seeds, plants and herbs in the Spring so that children can grow them over the Summer and enter them in the Fall Flower show. This Committee needs help with seed and plant order and distribution as well as volunteers to help at the Fall Flower show which will be held on September 10th, 2008 at the St. Elizabeth Campus.
Publicity: Martha Ellis
This Committee has two functions. First, it maintains and updates the school website, sj-se.com. Also, this Committee is in charge of publicity for the many HASA events.
Scrip: Angie Brown, Sarah Maxson

Schoolkidz: Allison Lehmann and Sarah Maxson
This Committee provides the school with a wonderful service as they allow all families to purchase tailor made school supply kits. Purchase is optional. Kits are available for sale beginning in March for the following school year and are available for pick up at registration.
Spirit Wear: Samantha Verslype and Co-Chair Needed
This Committee provides cool spirit wear gear that can be found on the spirit wear page of the School website. This Committee needs help with sales at various School functions.
Swap Shop: Trisha Scheible, Beth Reimbold
The Swap Shop provides an opportunity throughout the year to purchase gently used uniform items for a fraction of the original cost. Donations for the Swap Shop may be dropped off at either campus. Volunteer opportunities include sale prep and set-up at registration day and the last day of school.
Teacher Appreciation: Mary Everett, Kim Gillie
This Committee organizes the giving tree which is held during parent teacher conferences. This Committee also prepares special activities for the teachers and gives them tokens of appreciation at different times during the year. Volunteers are needed to serve lunch to the teachers during teacher appreciation week.
Turkey Bingo: Jennie Klinger, Lisa Hoch, Deb Schroeder
Turkey Bingo will take place on November 23rd, 2008 at St. Elizabeth. This is a great day of family fun with bingo prizes and frozen turkeys. 50/50 games award large cash prizes. Volunteers are needed to help with the event, solicit donations, and help in the kitchen.
Welcoming/Mentoring/Hospitality: Sheryl Stuczynski, Ann Pilgrim
This Committee plans and organizes events to welcome new families to SJSE. Mentor families are assigned to all new families and help them with any questions they may have. Volunteer opportunities include becoming a mentor family, tour guides for Catholic Schools Week, and emailing updates to new families.

Income/Expenses
Many of the committee chairs and members of the Executive Committee have heard people say, "What does HASA actually do? How does it raise money? What does it pay for?" Well.... here is the long awaited answer! During the 2007-2008 school year, HASA completed the following fundraisers and paid for the following items:
Legacy Auction - $18,000 profit
SCRIP - $18,000 profit
Burger King Coupons - $7,000 profit
BoxTops - $2,000 profit
Turkey Bingo - $2,000 profit
New Smart Boards - $28,000
Staff Appreciation Gifts - $6,700
Class Enrichment Days K-5 & Era Day- $4,000
Fine Arts (Includes Spring Musical, Going to Musicals, etc)- $3,000

Upcoming Events/Information
Many activities will take place during Catholic Schools Week which is January 25th-January 31st. Check back for more updates and information.
Turkey Bingo will be held on Sunday, November 23rd from 1-3pm in the St. Elizabeth Cafeteria.
The Trick-or-Trunk was a hit! Over 50 families decorated their trunks and passed out treats to the K-4 students at St. Elizabeth. This was the first year for the event, and it was a great success. Thanks to all of the families who decorated their trunks and the other volunteers that made the day memorable for the students. A special thanks to Sheryl Stuczynski for organizing this event. We were also featured in the Journal Gazette on Wednesday, Oct. 29th, with pictures in the metro section. Pictures from the event are posted below.
