Parish Rewards

Parish Rewards is an exciting program for the St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth Ann Seton community, aimed at offering purchase incentives for parishioners to patron area businesses. Recognized profits will benefit the school and both parishes, as designated by the parishioner.

Parish Rewards invites businesses whose goods or services result in higher purchase prices to participate. Participating businesses agree to donate a percentage or flat fee for every parishioner transaction. This contribution will then be split 50/50. One-half of the contribution will be applied, as designated by the parishioner, to the school’s family tuition account, the school development fund, or church organization, either at St. Joe or St. Elizabeth. The other half will be retained by the school development fund. To be eligible to participate in this program, businesses must commit to a contribution based on a fixed percentage rate or flat fee.

A direct mail advertising booklet was mailed to all parishioner households in May 2008. The booklet includes a letter introducing the program, an explanation of how the program works, forms to submit to businesses, and an advertising section with an advertisement for each individual vendor. Marketing efforts will continue throughout the year in both the parishes and the school to keep vendors’ names in the forefront of our parishioners' minds as they make high-cost purchase decisions.

As both a vendor and a parishioner, Parish Rewards is a very easy fundraiser. To take part in the program as a new vendor, please see the contact names at the bottom of this page, and they will help you get started. As a parishioner,to take part in this program you must first make a qualifying purchase at one of our program vendors. See list of vendors below and to the left. Once you have made a purchase, simply provide the vendor with the Parish Rewards form found at the end of the booklet and on this webpage. Once both you and the vendor complete the form, turn it into the St. Elizabeth church office via mail or drop it off. The Parish Rewards team will take it from there. We will collect the donation from the vendor and send the donation to the appropriate entity (SJSE School, Capital Fund, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.). We will send quarterly statements to the parishioners that have completed a transaction with a vendor and let them know how much their donation was and where it went. We will also send quarterly reports to the vendors to let them know of any outstanding donations and their total donation for the quarter. You only need to send in one copy of the form. The other two copies are for you and the vendor to keep!

Again, the first 50% of the donation goes to SJSE school, as this is a school run program. The other 50% is up to the parishioner and can be donated to:

St. Elizabeth Parish Youth Ministries (RE/Youth Groups)
St. Joseph Parish Capital Improvement
St. Joseph Parish General Fund
SJSE Tuition Reimbursement
Bishop Luers Tuition Reimbursement
Bishop Dwenger Tuition Reimbursement
SJSE General School Fund

Any parishioner of either St. Joseph or St. Elizabeth can participate. SJSE school families that are not parishioners can participate as well. Extended family members or friends of SJSE school families or parishioners may also participate, but they must specify what school family or parishioner they are participating on behalf of.

Please note that we have some NEW businesses for the second year of Parish Rewards! If you have any questions about their donation amounts, please contact the vendors directly, not the Parish Rewards Committee.

Please note that there is an omission in the Bussick Orthodontics advertisement. It should include that the donation request must be submitted to Bussick Orthodontics at the same time the contract for services is signed.

Please notice that Trinity Home Design Center is not listed in the advertising booklet. It IS a participating vendor in the 2008-2009 Parish Rewards Program. They will donate $100 for a minimum job of $2,500. For more information on Trinity, please click on the link at the bottom right of this page.

Please note that the donation amount for Covington Commons has INCREASED since publication of the booklet. Covington Commons will now donate $1,000 for every new resident that moves in!

In our first year of Parish Rewards we collected over $8,000 in total donations. One half of that, or just over $4,000 went to SJSE School. The remainder of the funds went to various funds such as TIP, Youth Ministries at St. Joe and St. Elizabeth, as well as many others. The funds donated to SJSE School were used to build new playground equipment as well as other needs. Through 3 months of operations in the second year of Parish Rewards we have raised over $2,400. Please continue to support this program as we are now in our second year and our goal is to raise $10,000.
